Legal Compliance

Overview

ToolsHub is committed to full compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. Because our architecture processes everything client-side with zero data collection, many compliance requirements are inherently satisfied. This page documents our compliance posture across major regulations.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

As a platform that processes no personal data, ToolsHub is designed to be GDPR-compliant by default. Our client-side architecture means we never collect, store, or process any user data on our servers. Key compliance points:

  • Data Controller: ToolsHub acts as a data controller only for necessary server logs (IP addresses, which are not stored).
  • Data Processor: We do not process user data — all computation happens in your browser.
  • Lawful Basis: We rely on legitimate interest for basic website functionality (serving static files). No consent is needed for data processing because no data is processed.
  • Data Subject Rights: Right to access, rectification, erasure, and portability are trivially satisfied as we hold no personal data.
  • Data Protection Officer: Contact contact@kabirmahmud.xyz for any GDPR-related inquiries.

CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

Under the CCPA, California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. Since ToolsHub does not collect, sell, or share any personal information, compliance is straightforward:

  • Right to Know: No personal information is collected, so there is nothing to disclose.
  • Right to Delete: No personal information is stored, so there is nothing to delete.
  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out is needed.
  • Non-Discrimination: We do not offer financial incentives tied to data sharing.
  • Categories of Sources: None — we do not collect personal information from any source.

DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act)

ToolsHub respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. Our DMCA compliance procedures are as follows:

  • Notice of Infringement: If you believe content on ToolsHub infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to contact@kabirmahmud.xyz.
  • Required Information: Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the infringing material, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement of good faith belief, and (e) a signature.
  • Counter-Notice: If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with the same contact information.
  • Repeat Infringers: We will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

ToolsHub is a general audience website not directed at children under 13. However, because we collect no personal information from any user regardless of age, COPPA compliance is inherent:

  • No registration or account creation is required to use any tool.
  • No personal information is collected, stored, or processed from any user.
  • No targeted advertising or behavioral tracking occurs on the platform.
  • Parents can be confident that children using ToolsHub are not being tracked or profiled.

WCAG Accessibility Compliance

ToolsHub strives to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards to ensure our tools are usable by everyone, including people with disabilities:

  • Perceivable: All non-text content has text alternatives. Sufficient color contrast is maintained throughout the interface.
  • Operable: All functionality is available via keyboard. Users can navigate using Tab, Enter, and Escape keys.
  • Understandable: Buttons and controls have clear, descriptive labels. Error messages are provided for invalid inputs.
  • Robust: Semantic HTML is used throughout. ARIA labels are applied to interactive elements where needed.
  • Known Limitations: Some third-party icon fonts may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are actively working to address this.

ePrivacy Directive (Cookie Law)

ToolsHub does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. The only cookies that may be set are those strictly necessary for the functioning of third-party CDN services (such as Font Awesome). These are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.

We do not use any form of local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB) for tracking purposes.
